PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner accredited with this standard will now be capable of demonstrating competence in the management and control of safe handling and economic movement of hazardous/dangerous goods with strict adherence to statutory national and international regulations, applicable to the learners selected discipline (e.g. air, rail, road, sea, storage).
