PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD

A learner accredited with this standard will be able to demonstrate competence in designing and implementing an appropriate quality management system and ensuring that freight operations are conducted in accordance with the principles, processes and procedures used in a quality assurance system.

UNIT STANDARD RANGE

The applied competence expressed in this standard cover a variety of familiar and unfamiliar processes requiring a range of innovative responses based on informed judgement by the learner, who has responsibility for the implementation and standard of the quality assurance system and the quality of freight handling logistics.

UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS

1. Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.

2. Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard must be registered with the FET/HET Registrar and the programs offered by this institution must be accredited with the relevant ETQA.

3. Moderation of assessment will be done by the relevant ETQA at its discretion.
