  • Learning would best be achieved by exploring a range of business ethics/standards that are occurring in the casino and linking them to the learner's attitudes and area of responsibility.
  • The gaming rules and regulations must be emphasised.
  • Potential exercise: Learners could role-play casino confidentiality issues and discuss the impact that the different scenarios would have on the organisation.
  • Learners could role-play irregular incidents and different ways of handling them.

    Performance systems
  • Ongoing measurement of the learner's ability to meet this standard is recommended.
  • An appraisal system utilising colleague input is recommended.
  • A new employee should be able to achieve this unit within 2 months of being trained.

This information shows the current accreditations (i.e. those not past their accreditation end dates), and is the most complete record available to SAQA as of today. Some Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionaries have a lag in their recording systems for provider accreditation, in turn leading to a lag in notifying SAQA of all the providers that they have accredited to offer qualifications and unit standards, as well as any extensions to accreditation end dates. The relevant Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionary should be notified if a record appears to be missing from here.
