PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is for people who work, or intend to work in a Yacht and Boat Building environment where marine joinery components are manufactured and installed.
This unit standard consolidates the learning and skill developed in "Demonstrate a practical understanding of marine joinery" and further develops this in the application to more complex processes and techniques. The successful learner will demonstrate proficiency in the use of a broad range of woodworking tools, power tools and machinery, and be competent in many of the joinery related tasks required for fitting out different types of yacht and boat.
