PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is intended for people who wish to participate as judges in the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics. This unit standard will provide learners with competencies required to judge Rhythmic Gymnastics competition(s) in a consistent, fair and impartial manner. The learner will be capable of combining a range of self-discipline and life long observation skills with a working knowledge of the techniques of the sport, and integrate these within the context of competitions.

The structure of Gymnastics is explained with regards of the position of Rhythmic in the sport of Gymnastics. |

Structure including but not limited to different disciplines and includes Project Management and different competitions. |

The Management's structure of Rhythmic Gymnastics is explained within the South African Gymnast Federation in terms of their responsibilities and duties. |

Current Rhythmic Gymnastics sequences are identified and listed with examples. |

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 |
The protocol of club, Regional and Provincial participation is explained and understood as it is set out in club, Provincial and National competitions. |

The gymnast's performance with the Rhythmic Gymnastics equipment is evaluated using a simulation. |

Deviations from the learned skill is identified and described in order to make deductions. |

Deductions are calculated on judges score sheet in accordance with organisational requirements. |
