PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The qualifying learner will acquire the necessary knowledge to understand the provisions for grievance procedures and disciplinary action in relevant Labour legislation. They will be able to explain all the procedures for the initiation, progress and appeal of disciplinary actions and grievance procedures as outlined in the company-specific processes.

The qualifying learner will be capable of:

  • Describing the nature of grievance procedures.
  • Explaining grievance procedures.

  • An individual wishing to be assessed against the unit standard (including through RPL) may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant Education and Training Quality Assurance body (ETQA), or one with an appropriate memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the relevant ETQA.
