PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners at this level are expected to show competencies in the use of every equipment so that they can understand the mechanical operations of such equipment carry out their roles and responsibilities with ease and show responsibility when handling such equipments.

Therefore, learners enrolled in this Unit Standard are able to:
  • Distinguish the different equipment and how they relate to each other.
  • Apply scientific knowledge of functional usage of every equipment as part of the whole production system.
  • Explain Health and Safety Standards and environmental requirements for the work area in accordance with company specifications. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    It is expected that learners are competent in Communication and Mathematical Literacy at ABET Level 3 or an equivalent.

    Work area includes but not limit to Green Timber Processing area, Dry Lumber Processing area, Lumber Drying area and Saw Doctoring area.
