PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard will be useful to people who are required to prepare the metal model for wax setting, before incorporating the diamonds and gemstones into the wax models. Wax setting is the incorporation of diamonds and gemstones into wax models, for the purpose of mass producing jewellery through casting the jewellery pieces with diamonds and gemstones.
People credited with this unit standard will be able to: |

Work effectively with others as members of a team, group, organisation or community.
Note: The ability and willingness of the learner to accept and interpret the design instructions and specified requirements correctly. |
UNIT STANDARD CCFO ORGANISING |
Organise and manage themselves and their activities responsibly and effectively.
Note: The ability of the learner to indicate which setting tools and procedures are required for the setting of diamonds and gemstones into these different wax models -settings. |
UNIT STANDARD CCFO COLLECTING |
Collect, analyse, organise and critically evaluate information.
Note: The ability of the learner to plan the layout, the procedure and the specified finish gathered from the information of the design with the specified requirements. |
