This unit standard will be useful to people who are required to present a specific design concept in a particular context, as a visual presentation on computer.

People credited with this unit standard are able to:
  • Compile a design brief.
  • Provide a design solution.
  • Generate technical drawings of the design.
  • Present the final design concept to the customer.

    Broad guidelines for the research are established based on the context provided by the customer, in line with industry requirements.

    Research is conducted in accordance with industry accepted methods to determine the specified requirements.

    The specific guidelines are established in terms of jewellery manufacturing requirements.

    Interpretations are recorded by means of drawings in accordance with the customer's guidelines.

    The preferred design solutions are established in consultation with the customer in line with industry standards.

    The final design is rendered to the customer's satisfaction in accordance with jewellery manufacturing requirements.

    Visual materials are prepared for a digital presentation that incorporates the technical aspects according to jewellery manufacturing requirements.

    A digital slide show of the design concept is compiled for presentation to the customer in terms of jewellery manufacturing requirements.

    Presentation equipment and materials are ready prior to the presentation in accordance with design presentation procedures. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    The design concept is presented to summarise the process and show the final design to the customer in accordance with the design brief.

    Comments and criticism are engaged with, and agreed corrective action and changes are accommodated to specified requirements.
