PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is for persons in the electrical distribution environment.
The person credited with this unit standard is capable of planning, installing/replacing Medium Voltage mini substations and ring-main units/switches according to statutory requirements to distribute and control electricity to electrical installations. This unit standard will contribute to the full development of the learner within the electrical engineering and construction environment by providing recognition, further mobility and transportability within the field of Physical Planning and Construction.
