PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The learner achieving this unit standard is able to respond, under all conditions, in a tactical manner, to the provision of security response services to clients and others while observing legal prescripts and organisational procedures. Typical security response services will be the show of force in a designated area, reaction to a triggered alarm and performing auxiliary services such as escorting a client into their premises.

Equipment for response duties is prepared in terms of its availability, the service to be delivered and service circumstances. |

Service circumstances may include but is not limited to weather conditions, time of day, specific instructions, previous tendencies and seasonal requirements. |

An explanation is given of the safety requirements that must be met with regard to client and organisational needs. |
