PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The qualifying learner achieving this unit standard will be able to plan, conduct, prepare minutes and circulate decisions taken at such community meetings. This competence will enable the learner to conduct meetings in accordance with an agenda taking into consideration the needs of the community. This will contribute towards effective communication with community members and accurate records of decisions taken at community meetings. In acquiring this competence the qualifying learner will lay a good foundation for future learning and action, and better understand the broader context of own work. Achieving this unit standard will enhance the employability of the qualifying learner. The learner through the process of consultation with the community members will contribute to community development.
