PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
People in the field of manufacturing, engineering and technology require the skills, values and knowledge reflected in this unit standard. The learning outcomes in this unit standard also contribute to the exit level outcomes required for various manufacturing and assembly qualifications. The learner will be capable of carrying out static and dynamic balancing of rotating equipment under limited supervision. This will contribute to the exit level outcomes required for the National Certificate in electro-mechanical winding and related qualifications. |
LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING |
This unit standard has been designed as part of a progression. It is one of a series of unit standards for electro-mechanical winding in the field of manufacturing and engineering. It is assumed that the learner has already learned to use and care for complex measuring equipment, and to interpret relevant legislation regarding safety in the working environment. |

PROVIDERS CURRENTLY ACCREDITED TO OFFER THIS UNIT STANDARD: |
This information shows the current accreditations (i.e. those not past their accreditation end dates), and is the most complete record available to SAQA as of today. Some Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionaries have a lag in their recording systems for provider accreditation, in turn leading to a lag in notifying SAQA of all the providers that they have accredited to offer qualifications and unit standards, as well as any extensions to accreditation end dates. The relevant Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionary should be notified if a record appears to be missing from here. |
