PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The person credited with this unit standard will be able to plan and implement a cargo handling operation in the stevedoring environment, taking into account the limitations and advantages of basic ship types and designs.

UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
This unit standard applies to the skills needed to effectively plan and implement a stevedoring cargo handling operation for any cargo vessel and including the loading, discharge and transfer of cargo, in consultation with ship and warehouse/transport and port/terminal personnel. |
