PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
Learner who are assessed as competent against this unit standard will be able to handle, transport and store aluminium products safely therefore contributing towards the overall safety of the organisation and that of the country. This competence will enable the learner to handle aluminium materials in accordance with company requirements, to transport and store completed aluminium systems safely and to perform Quality Assurance checks on raw materials and finished products. This will ensure that breakages and stoppages are kept to a minimum and equipment is used in accordance with safe work practices. This competence will advance the learner's own expertise and employability in both the construction sector and other related jobs. |
