A person credited with this unit standard will be able to:
  • Prepare the seedbed for sowing.
  • Sow Rooibos seed manually.
  • Monitor the germination of the Rooibos seeds.
  • Utilize knowledge of Rooibos seed sowing in a farm nursery.

    Describe the selection and preparation of a seedbed for the sowing of Rooibos seeds.

    The range includes but is not limited to: site selection for seedbeds, ideal soil type, soil preparation, tiling of soil, installation of irrigation, solar sterilizing.
