PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for all people within a wholesale or retail store that work at perishable foods areas and who are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of hygiene standards at the different perishable food departments.

Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to use cleaning chemicals correctly and identify the presence of pests while maintaining cleanliness of floors, work-surfaces and utensils.
