PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This standard is in the elective category of the NQF Level 4 National Certificate in CTFL Mechanician Processes. Learners who are assessed competent with this unit standard are able to interpret specifications for product change over, make appropriate settings and adjustments, adjust material inputs and conduct new product checks for changeovers in the non-woven process. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Learners will have attained the National Certificate in CTFL Mechanician Processes at NQF Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

    Specified changes and settings are made in the correct sequence as specified in the machine manufacturers manual, company procedures, industry norms.

    Monitor and confirm the performance of routine cleaning and maintenance, according to the machine manufacturers/company maintenance schedules.
