PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The purpose of this unit standard is that learners are capable of communicating with the public, in groups or individually, or to the media in a clear and responsible way, to inform them regarding traffic safety and traffic-related issues. The provision of information contributes to public relations, and improves safety on South African roads, for all road users, including pedestrians.
This unit standard also allows for transformation with the traffic policing profession, as learners become models for other learners. This attracts quality people and allows for the aspirations of people to be part of the traffic policing profession.
