The unit standard is aimed at providing the learner with a working knowledge of Building construction methods, technologies and materials.

A person credited with this unit standard will be able to understand and apply the Building Construction process, associated technologies, processes and methods.

This unit standard will contribute to the full development of a professional community of Construction ManagersThe skills, knowledge and understanding demonstrated within this unit standard are essential for social and economic transformation and upliftment within the construction environment.

  • Any institution offering learning that will enable the achievement of this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.
  • The relevant ETQA or other ETQA's, who have a Memorandum of Understanding in place with relevant ETQA, would be responsible for moderation of learner achievements of learners who meet the requirements of this qualification.
