PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners credited with this unit standard will be able to welcome and receive clients and to establish the client's needs in a professional manner. This will enhance the quality of the service or product provided to the client.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Receiving clients and establishing a relaxed relationship while caring for client's needs.
  • Preparing clients for the service to be rendered.
  • Receiving and dealing with appointments.
  • Consulting with clients in a professional manner whilst analysing the treatment area. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence against unit standards in mathematical, computer, numerical and communication studies at NQF Level 1 or equivalent.
