PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is intended for the individual who has recently been appointed to, or is contemplating employment in, a function that includes international buying and the international movement of goods as a core performance area.

Individuals who are credited with this Unit Standard will be able to use their comprehension to effectively communicate with, and relate to the integral functions through which the objectives of international trade are achieved.
