UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
The scope of this unit standard is to fill and close glass or rigid plastic containers in the food, cosmetics, chemical, fast-moving-consumer-goods and pharmaceutical environment.
In the context of this unit standard, filling and closing of glass or rigid plastic containers can include any glass and rigid plastic bottles and jars that are closed by means of a screw top or any other type of sealable closing device. Plastic tubs with lids are included, but plastic sachets and carton containers are excluded. The level assigned to this unit standard is applicable because the process is moderate in range, established and familiar and offers clear choices of routine responses. The learning demand employs basic operational knowledge and readily available information. The application of this unit standard is to qualify the person for certification in sub-trades. |
